2nd AGRITECH Transnational Project Meeting – Gödöllő

From 26 to 28 November 2025, the AGRITECH partners met in Gödöllő and Budapest, Hungary, for the project’s second transnational meeting, hosted by DDTG (assisted by GK and MATE) under ELGOcoordination. The agenda centred on Work Package 2 and its core on-working outputs – the Learning Ecosystem Design and the AgriTech Curriculum (D2.3) – with dedicated time also reserved for accreditation, quality assurance and communication topics.

Day 1  Focus on WP2

The first day in Gödöllő combined a short project progress update with working sessions on the structure of the AGRITECH learning ecosystem (DDTG) and curriculum (AGR). All participating Partners went through the planned pillars of the innovative learning environment, the overall curriculum layout and its modules, and touched on assessment aspects, data protection requirements and IPR in WP2 outputs, recalling the main points of the project’s Data Policy Guidelines and how datasets, visuals and survey data must be handled under GDPR (LAND) and a wrap-up of communication and visibility activities carried out from the start of the project up to the meeting, development of the project’s visual identity and social media presence, and the roll-out of the Communication Plan and monitoring approach for key indicators upcoming communication activities (PAMEA).

Day 2  Accreditation, QA and pilots

On the second day, partners continued exchanges on curriculum content and implementation and then turned to the links with accreditation, quality (ACQUIN) and pilots. Sessions covered the planned ESG/EQF alignment process, steps towards external evaluation, internal quality assurance steps fofollowed by a short quality assurance block on the QA checklist for meetings and deliverables and the internal review process for D2.2 and D2.3. Then followed a presentation regarding the preparation of the platform (CARDET), and abrief update on ESCO and recognition pathways for the AgriTech Manager profile. The day closed with a block on next actions, timelines and responsibilities for the coming months.

The meeting also brought together members of the AGRITECH External Experts Panel, who shared their insights in a dedicated session and helped refine the next steps of the project.

Day 3  Study visit and closing

The final day took place in Budapest and featured a study visit to the ELTE University Botanical Garden, followed by a short closing meeting to reflect on the discussions and look ahead to the next consortium milestones.

Overall, the meeting provided space for partners to review progress under WP2, compare perspectives on the design of the innovative learning environment and curriculum, and clarify where further work and coordination are needed as AGRITECH moves into the next phase.

AGRITECH project’s Post

PAMEA’s acceptance into the European Alliance for Apprenticeships helps the AGRITECH consortium turn good training into real careers. It connects our competence profile and learning modules with a European community that knows how to build quality apprenticeships and make them stick.

What this unlocks for AGRITECH

Faster routes from classroom to workplace. Our curricula can be translated into apprenticeship pathways with VET providers and agri-food employers, not just pilot courses.

Shared quality standards. Access to proven tools for mentoring, assessment, and learner support raises the bar across the consortium.

A bigger circle of hosts and allies. The EAfA network brings in schools, chambers, cooperatives, and SMEs that are ready to co-design placements and adopt our materials.

Better recognition and uptake. Aligning with EU-level guidance helps our modules travel across borders and sit comfortably inside existing systems.

Stronger storytelling. Platforms for case studies and peer learning help us show how AGRITECH skills play out on farms, in labs, and inside data-driven advisory services.

What changes on the ground
Learners get real work environments to apply what they study. Educators gain mentor training, assessment rubrics, and clear progression routes. Employers receive ready-to-use learning plans and support for supervising apprentices without drowning in paperwork. Everyone speaks the same language about skills and outcomes.

What it means for the consortium
We move from “project results” to services that partners can run year after year. PAMEA’s role inside EAfA gives the team a front door to policy dialogue, good practices, and communities that keep improving apprenticeships. AGRITECH benefits from that momentum, turning a competence profile into a living pathway that serves people, organisations, and regions.

AGRITECH project’s Post

From AGRITECH to the Pact for Skills: Expanding Impact

By joining the Pact for Skills, PAMEA strengthens its ability to scale up the results of the AGRITECH project – our flagship initiative building the AgriTech Manager competence profile and innovative training models for agriculture. What AGRITECH brings:
✅ A competence framework linking deep tech, digital tools, and sustainable farming practices
✅ Modular curricula and micro-credentials for VET providers, universities, and professionals
✅ Strong cooperation between educators, SMEs, farmers, and policymakers to ensure labour market relevance
✅ A European-wide platform to upskill learners and professionals in agriculture and green innovation

Through the Pact for Skills, these outcomes will now be connected to a broader EU agenda on reskilling and upskilling, giving AGRITECH results greater visibility, stronger policy anchoring, and wider opportunities for replication in other sectors. For PAMEA, this is proof that our projects are not isolated efforts, but stepping stones toward a more skilled, innovative, and sustainable Europe.

AGRITECH project’s Post

AGRITECH consortium is glad to share highlights from the bilateral working meeting held in Nicosia from 16–18 September 2025, hosted by our partner CARDET. Together with PAMEA, the teams worked intensively on key aspects of our project, including:
✔ Advancing the international accreditation process with ACQUIN and aligning with EQF, ESG, and ENQA standards
✔ Refining quality assurance protocols and data protection guidelines
✔ Design, plan and review the AGRITECH eLearning platform and its integration with gamified learning materials
✔ Planning the pilot phase for certification, including digital badges and microcredentials linked to EU frameworks
✔ Strengthening engagement with universities and preparing for curricular integration at EQF 6/7

AGRITECH at the Agriculture for Life 2025 Conference

We are proud to share that the AGRITECH project was prominently featured at the 2025 edition of the “AGRICULTURE FOR LIFE, LIFE FOR AGRICULTURE” conference, held in Bucharest, Romania between June 5-7. Hosted by our project partner USAMV, this international event brought together experts, researchers, and innovators under the theme:

“Agroecology and biodiversity: nurturing ecosystems for thriving agriculture.”

AGRITECH presented a key scientific contribution:

“Digital Transformation in Agriculture: A Comparative Analysis of Hungary, Romania and Greece and the Role of Competence Profiling in the AgriTech Manager Framework”

Authored by a cross-institutional team from MATE, USAMV, ELGO, and PAMEA, the paper outlined national digitalisation strategies and introduced the AgriTech Manager profile – a competence-based model to upskill the workforce in smart, green agriculture.

The conference also served as a vibrant platform for cross-border knowledge exchange. Representatives from all four core partners present – USAMV (host), PAMEA, MATE, and AGRICLOUD – connected ideas and mapped out collaborative paths forward for:

– advancing smart farming education,

– reinforcing digital agriculture ecosystems,

– embedding lifelong learning in rural innovation frameworks.

AGRITECH initiative, supported by the ERASMUS+ “Partnerships for Innovation” programme, continues to push the boundaries of competence-based learning in agriculture – blending deep tech, sustainability, and entrepreneurship into a new European profile: the AgriTech Manager.
